High Peaks Camp: June 11 - 17, 2017

This camp will be based out of the southern Collegiates and the High Peaks of the area.  We will run/hike three to four high peaks (14-ers) during the camp, including Shavano, Antero, and Tabeguache. Weather will dictate which peaks we ascend on what day.

Routes can be found at the web site by searching on the peak name:

Check-in Durango, Colorado June 11, 8am or

Head north on US 24W into Buena Vista, continue north on US 24W for ~19 miles.  Turn left (west) on CR-82 and drive approx. 6 miles. Take a right onto CR24. Campground is on your left in about 2 miles.  We are in Group CG D.

Lake View Campground

We abide by the philosophy espoused by Ed Viersturs, world-class alpinist: "getting up is optional, getting down, mandatory". We will not ascend if weather conditions are dangerous and will descend if they become dangerous!
